Janmashtami @ Gurukul

j ja

Janmashtami is the joyful celebration of Lord Krishna's birth. The Gurukulians took great pleasure in celebrating this occasion. The students of PYP and MYP gave their best performance for the whole school and the Korean guests who had come all the way to India for a summer camp.

The students put their heart and soul and in a very short span gave a beautiful picture of Lord Krishna and his naughty pranks he played in his childhood. The students put up a lovely show for the Gurukulians and our Korean guests.

The birth of Lord Krishna was shown in the form of a dance by the PYP students. The love of Yashoda for her little Kanhayya, the complaints of all the women to Yashodha about the Makhanchor (one who stole butter) little Krishna and the Rasleela of Krishna with his gopis was brought out for the people with melodious music, striking costumes and a beautiful dance. The Korean students were thrilled, clicked a lot of pictures to cherish and take home. The students’ love for mythology and our culture is really worth appreciation.
